Illness and the Old Timey Bug

I have two things to say. The first pertaining to health and the second to nourishment. Firstly, I seem to have contracted some sort of cold. Being under the thrall of said grippe my nose has been atrociously stuffed up and I was forced to breathe through my mouth and thusly drooled all over my pillow during the night, much to my despair and consternation. Beware of the grippe, my friends. To ward it off I suggest orange juice, but alas it is too late for me and I must suffer the consequences of my dearth of vitamin C. Fortunately, I am feeling much better and am greatly relieved to report that I can now sleep with my mouth closed.
Secondly, I must applaud the genius of the creator of Smores Poptarts. For without these marshmallowy, chocolatey rectangles of deliciousness I do not think I would have survived my period of convalesence. I also recommend, for those who fall to the grippe, that you being a strict regiment of hot chocolate as a supplement to your orange juice consumption. There is nothing so good as hot chocolate with french vanilla flavoring when you are bedridden.

This is my message, friends, take it to heart. Truly, I have only your best interests in my mind.
I would also like to note that I seem to have caught a bug of a different sort. I cannot for the life of me explain the sudden and strange onset of this somewhat archaic diction. I do believe it is a reaction to the abundant idiocy that I have been exposed to on the television channels known as MTV, BET, and VH1 to the laymen. Did you know, reader, that Paris Hilton is in search of a new best friend and Lauren from the Hills is fighting with Stephanie, Spencer's sister, over an ex-fling named Doug? I do. I'm afraid that no amount of vitamin C or hot chocolate will help in this untoward battle. Wish me luck, friends. I will need it.

Well, I'm glad you're feeling better, but I'll take your advice about orange juice to heart (we have a big carton of it in our refrigerator). I'm all out of breakfast foods. D: I need to stop by the convenience store and stock up on yummy pastries.

Is your MTV, BET thing because of your roommate? She sounds silly. (Though I shouldn't talk. I watch Gossip Girl. But I found out that the titles are often parodies of famous titles. Like the most recent one, "The Serena Also Rises" is based off Hemingway's "The Sun Also Rises," which I'm reading in my English class right now.)

I like the banality of the plot and the characters. It's very brain-numbing.
